Union Objectives

  • To regulate relations between employees and employers, including any employers organisations
  • To promote the interest of members;
  • To plan and organise collect subscriptions from members and to administer the union’s affairs and activities;
  • To affiliate with and participate in the affairs of any national or international workers organisation or international labour organisations;
  • To promote, support or oppose any proposed legislative or other measures affecting the interest of members;
  • To use every legitimate means to recruit employees to become members;
  • To provide legal assistance to members in connection with employment;
  • To establish and administer funds for the benefits of it’s members and their dependents.
  • To encourage the settlements of disputes between members and employers or employers organisation by conciliation, mediation, arbitration and
  • To do such lawful things as may appear in the interest of the trade union and its members and which are not inconsistent with the objects or any matter specifically provided for in the Union’s Constitution with, and to provide contractual employment as may deem fit for the benefit of the organisation and it’s members;
  • To borrow, invest, lend, subscribe or donate money for furtherance of the objects of the trade union.
